York Cares Volunteer Evenings at Baby Buggy We are fortunate to have groups of New York Cares volunteers giving their time and energy to Baby Buggy two evenings each month. If you would like to join the New York Cares volunteers as they assist us prepare donated items for distribution, please call the New York Cares coordinator for Baby Buggy volunteer evenings at 212-228-5000. Employee Group Volunteer Opportunities at Baby Buggy If you would like to organize a community service volunteer night for a group of employees at your company, we would love to have your help! Many of our corporate donors have already assisted Baby Buggy in this way. Family Volunteer Days at Baby Buggy If you would appreciate the opportunity to volunteer at Baby Buggy as a family, please call Dennis Tseng at 212-736-1780 or e-mail him at dennis@babybuggy.org. We will be happy to set-up a date and time for you to attend a Family Volunteer Day. Come experience the joy of working with your children to improve the lives of "our" children. Nursery School Infant Gear and Clothing Drive for Baby Buggy If your child is currently attending a nursery school in one of the five boroughs of New York City and you would like to organize an infant gear and clothing drive on Baby Buggy's behalf at your school, please call us at 212-736-1777 or e-mail us at info@babybuggy.org. Hundreds of beautiful, new and gently used items have been collected at Baby Buggy Nursery School Drives. We would love to add your school to the growing list of Baby Buggy donors. Community Service Opportunities for NYC Teens at Baby Buggy If your school has a community service requirement that you would like to fulfill at Baby Buggy we would welcome your help. Baby Buggy has had the pleasure of working with various upper schools in New York City and has hosted teen interns at our loft. The volunteer experience may include; compiling clothing and gear donations for our over 50 community partners, repairing brand new clothing samples, sorting donated clothes by age and gender, and/or accompanying a Baby Buggy staff person on a site visit to one of the social service providers we serve. College Student Community Outreach at Baby Buggy If you are a college student in New York City and you would like to fulfill your community service requirement at Baby Buggy, please have the Community Service Coordinator at your college call Dennis Tseng at 212-736-1780 or e-mail him at dennis@babybuggy.org. We would be happy to discuss adding Baby Buggy to the list of community service sites at your college or university. Baby Buggy is currently working with students from New York University through their Community Service Department. Senior Volunteers at Baby Buggy If you are a senior citizen or a staff member at a senior center in New York City and would like to add your local senior center to our Baby Buggy Patching Project Partners, please call Dennis Tseng at 212-736-1780 or e-mail him at dennis@babybuggy.org for more information. The Baby Buggy Patching Project involves repairing the small cuts in the brand new clothing samples that have been donated to Baby Buggy. Baby Buggy has worked with The Burden Center For the Ageing and the Madison Hamilton City Hall Senior Center on this project. |
