The Infant Gear Fund was created in 2006 to meet the needs of our families for essential gear items, such as strollers, cribs, high chairs and play yards. This initiative allowed Baby Buggy to purchase items at the lowest cost available and deliver them to families in need in New York City. The funds raised at this event have allowed us to provide our families with critical gear for the next 12 months. The Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash was held on May 22, 2007 as a family-fun party in support of Project Safe Sleep, Baby Buggy's initiative that has delivered more than 3,000 cribs to the city's newborns in need. The success of this event allowed us to extend our Project Safe Sleep to Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx.

July 31st to August 12th. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity and talent of Jerry Seinfeld and our benefit chairs, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and friends Anderson Cooper, Stephen Colbert and Colin Quinn, Baby Buggy’s 2006 fundraiser was a smashing success. Nearly 1,000 guests gathered on Monday, February 13th at Jazz at Lincoln Center for the Festival of Lies. This benefit was the perfect way to support and celebrate the continued efforts of Baby Buggy while highlighting the seriousness of the fact that 500,000 New York City children live in poverty. In January of 2006, Baby Buggy will start the year off by joining forces with select Head Start programs throughout the city. Recognizing that supporting early education is a great way to make a long-term impact on families in need in New York City, Baby Buggy will work with Head Start programs in Hunts Point and Unionport in the Bronx, Jamaica and The Rockaways in Queens, and Coney Island in Brooklyn. The Citizen’s Committee for Children of New York reports that these programs are in some of the highest risk neighborhoods in New York. Co-hosted by Founder, Jessica Seinfeld, and Chairman of Barneys New York, Howard Socol, the Crib Drive Launch Party was held on June 14th, 2005 at Barneys New York. The fully underwritten event raised funds for us to provide 500 cribs to families in need. On June 16, 2004, Baby Buggy founder and chair Jessica Seinfeld, along with board member Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, and co-chair Sarah Jessica Parker hosted a The Diaper Drive Launch Party sponsored by Balmex at V Steakhouse. With the success of the fundraiser, just six weeks after the launch of the drive, Baby Buggy raised enough money to buy more than 500,000 diapers. Over 2,700 guests celebrated the work that Baby Buggy does for the children of New York City by attending a rare live performance by Jerry Seinfeld at City Center on November 12, 2003. Jon Stewart opened the show and Matt Lauer hosted this great evening of comedy. This event was generously supported by American Express, NetJets and Target. We are proud to announce that over one million dollars was raised to insure Baby Buggy’s future. To honor the birth of Julian Kal Seinfeld, Baby Buggy held a Breakfast Baby Shower on April 7, 2003 at Barneys New York. The event raised funds for Baby Buggy to continue its work with New York City Social Service Agencies. On May 6, 2002, Baby Buggy held its first fundraiser at the Beacon Theatre. Jerry Seinfeld performed for delighted Baby Buggy supporters. The event was hosted by Diane Sawyer with Special Guests Colin Quinn and Garry Shandling.

Baby Buggy In The Hamptons
At the request of so many of our donors Baby Buggy headed east this summer. The great spirit of giving that already exists in the Hamptons made it the ideal place to extend our mission. All summer we asked families to donate their gently used and new baby gear and clothing to the many infants in need who live in this area. We are very happy with the success of this drive. We encourage you to stay in touch with our 2006 Hamptons Drive Partners by contacting them directly at the numbers below to make arrangements to drop off donations.
